Take a poll this week at work or among friends. Ask a number of people if it is okay to lie if lying will help you or someone els, such as lying to an enemy. And will lying get you in trouble with God? Bring the results of your poll to the next group meeting. (Session 4, Going on a Promise) |

Go around the circle, naming something your parents or grandparents would have been unwilling to do, but which you do without giving a second thought. Or tell about something that they did that you would never do. What led to the changes in attitudes and principles? (Session 2, Playing God) |

Keep track of the griping and groaning you do this week. Compare your grievances to the woes of others. What way, if any, is there to judge whose needs are greatest? What promises have you made to others? Do your promises have conditions? Watch the news this week for signs of unrest in the world. Where are people groaning? Where has God heard the people's cries? (Session 1, For Crying Out Loud) |
